Is there a cost to get into EDGE Teen Center?
There is an annual fee of $75 per student for unlimited use of EDGE for the entire school year during open hours of 2:30-6 p.m. Or, $50/school year and 5 hours of student service at the center (ex: working in the café, etc.) The 2016/17 fee is due no later than Sept. 1. This gives new students the opportunity to spend time at EDGE and get familiar with what it has to offer. No teen will be turned away for an inability to pay. Scholarships available for families in need. Please email email@example.com for information.
Can anyone get into EDGE Teen Center?
This teen center is for 9th-12th grade students only.
Am I required to come into EDGE every day?
No. Some students attend each day; others use it occasionally. EDGE is here when you need it. Use it as often as you would like.
Do I need to sign up before I come to EDGE?
When you visit EDGE for the first time, take paperwork home with you and return the New Student Registration form on your next visit. Teens may visit 3 days before the annual fee is due.
Once I’ve checked in, am I allowed to leave and return to the center?
Some students may need to leave to attend an after-school meeting or for other reasons. You are permitted to leave and return as long as you follow the rules for check-out procedures and that you check back in when returning. Some days leaving the center may be prohibited, such as during bad weather. Talk with your parent/guardian regarding their approval/rules for you to leave and return to the center prior to being picked up.
Are items in the café free?
No, EDGE offers all foods at a lower rate than most area restaurants, but there is a charge for all food and drinks that are served.
Are parents allowed to come in to EDGE?
Yes, parents are welcome. We believe that parents are still the number one influence in teens lives. Although parents aren’t allowed to roam the teen center for safety reasons, you will be given a guided tour.
Are EDGE weekend events for all ages?
No, concerts and special events are for high school students only unless otherwise noted by staff.
